⌈ CHARACTER SECTION ⌉

Character: Reimu Hakurei
Age: Canonically unstated, For this I'll go with 17

Canon: Touhou Project
Canon Point: After Hopeless Masquerade

Background: http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Reimu_Hakurei

Personality:
First of all, Reimu's personality is a bit contradictory and hard to pin down sometimes. Her bio might say one thing about her, but her behavior in game doesn't always reflect that description. Touhou Project is about a bunch of magical girls and youkai fighting each other for petty reasons and is generally a very silly series with little in the way of a deep story.

Reimu is described as being straight forward, optimistic and a bit curious. She's also very lazy and will complain about being made to do anything, like training. Or even her job sometimes. She's dutiful enough when it comes to doing her job as Hakurei shrine maiden, but only once you actually get her moving, which can take a bit sometimes, unless someone else gets her moving. One of the things guaranteed to get her moving is doing something to piss her off (see her shrine getting destroyed in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody and the terrible first impression Sanae gave her at the start of Mountain of Faith). Another thing is if someone goes over to the shrine to get her moving (like Yukari does in Imperishable Night). Money also works, under the right circumstances, since she's eternally poor due to lack of donations to her shrine, though she's not exactly money grubbing (In UFO she was convinced that Murasa's ship might have treasure on it).

When in Incident Mode, as I call it, she is very confrontational, more short tempered than usual and prone to starting fights without much provocation. Her method for dealing with incidents is to beat up everyone who gets in her way until someone points her in the direction of the culprit. Then she beats them up, and invites them back to her shrine for tea so they can explain why they did what they did. Outside of incident mode, she's friendly enough so long as you don't do something to annoy her.

It's said that she treats everyone equally regardless of who or what they are and while this is mostly true, she does have a habit of being harsher to Youkai she doesn't know. Her first meeting with Tokiko involved her attacking the girl on suspicion that she'd stolen the books she was carrying. Still, while she didn't apologize, she was also not really all that mean to Tokiko afterwords, particularly once the misunderstanding was cleared up. Of course, it should also be said that treating everyone equally mostly means treating everyone with a vague air of disrespect. Her treatment of Youkai might have something to do with the reputation of her shrine of course, since one of the reasons she doesn't get many visitors is because of the number of youkai who like to visit her shrine, since a lot of her former opponents have ended up becoming friends of hers after she's beaten them up in incidents. It's certainly the reason she will complain about most. Still she doesn't try to stop them from coming anyway, since she gets few visitors besides them usually.

A bit more about her emotional states; Incident Mode could be best described as her being hyper focused on getting her job done so that she can go back to lazing about the shrine all day and isn't usually her being grumpier than usual (mostly anyway, she does have a lot less patience in this state as already mentioned). It's also been said that she's incapable of actually hating anyone, though while this might be because she's actually a good person underneath the grump, it might also be because she's pretty detached from most people. She keeps her distance from other people in an attempt to remain neutral since the Hakurei Miko can't really afford to “choose sides” by valuing humans or youkai more (I mean it's bad enough all those youkai come over to the shrine in the first place). So she isn't normally capable of great love either, though it's not like she doesn't care about her friends or anything, even if she wouldn't admit to it much. She prefers things to be peaceful and calm and other than the occasional grumbling when someone disrupts that in some minor way, she generally is pretty calm. She's also a very determined person who never gives up no matter what, even the rare times she loses a fight. She has to be a fairly brave person to do the things she does, even if thanks to the spell card system, she doesn't really have to risk her life that often. And she's so hax that it wasn't that much of an issue even when it didn't, though she wasn't always as hax as she eventually became as she got older. Still, keeping in mind what I mentioned about keeping herself distant from others, this is also why she's not a very empathic person and it's a big part of the reason why she can be very insensitive to others. That doesn't mean she won't help people in need however. She's just not a bleeding heart hero type about it. She's honest to the point of bluntness and the few times she even thinks to lie she's very transparent about it.

Abilities:
Ability to Float Through the Air: Flight is a power that all characters in Touhou have, but with Reimu it's a bit more complicated than that. Reimu didn't always have the power to fly, since she started out riding around on her flying turtle shikigami Genji, and only gained it after one the rare times she actually decided to go and do some training. Once she got it though, it quickly started to evolve into something completely broken power wise. Reimu has the ability to “float away from reality,” quite literally. This makes her completely impossible to attack through any method for as long as she's using this power. At this point in time though, she's never consciously used it. The only time she has used it at all is in her Last Word from Imperishable Night; Fantasy Nature. Since Fantasy Nature is bound by the rules of the Spell Card system, she can only remain like that for about a minute, but unbound by the spell card rules she'd be impossible to defeat. (This is why we call her the Hax Miko, naturally for the sake of the rp we're keeping this bound to the spell card rules. Also limited to once a day.)
Danmaku: See Here: http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Reimu_Hakurei#Spell_Cards
http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Reimu_Hakurei#Skills
The Hakurei Yin-Yang Orbs: The sacred treasure of the Hakurei family that can only be used by members of the Hakurei bloodline. They're primarily used as mobile turrets to shoot spirit needles, ofuda or homing talismans at enemies, but they can also multiply, grow and shrink in size and do a variety of useless things like give her the ability to eat as much as she wants without getting fat.
Teleportation: A somewhat more recent development connected to her “float away from reality” power above and the only conscious manifestation of that power so far. She has a limited ability to teleport herself a couple feet.
Purification Rod: A traditional shrine maiden's tool that she always carries with her. She's in the habit of point it to cast spell cards, though she doesn't need it to use them, and will also use it as a melee weapon if she needs to.
She also has all the traditional shrine maiden training, probably, as mentioned in Sanae's application, probably.
She's not very physically strong, though she does have a mean drop kick.

Alignment: Sosyne – like I said, she prefers things calm and peaceful, and is pretty calm underneath the grump most of the time outside of an incident. However, because of how easy it is to annoy her, she does tend towards the low negative side due to her grumpiness.

⌈ SAMPLE SECTION ⌉

Sample:

Reimu has absolutely no idea what was going on. Where was this and how had she ended up here? Was this Yukari's fault somehow? And why had she gotten dragged into some random people's wedding?

Needless to say, The Hakurei Miko is quite a bit grumpier than usual. She is so annoyed, in fact, that most of the sparkles in the air seemed to immediately move away from her in a bubble around the shrine maiden as if repelled by an unseen force as she sits in her corner of the wedding reception.

Come to think of it, what's causing those sparkles? She's not going to question why they don't seem to be coming near her so much since it's not like she wants them to. Still, this place was really weird, and that was saying something, considering that she'd grown up in Gensoukyo. Maybe someone was just using some kind of magic to make everything seem more cheerful for the wedding? It probably didn't matter anyway. She'd really have to explore once she escaped this party. Maybe she'd be able to find whoever dragged her here and force them to send her back to Gensoukyo (she might like to blame Yukari for things like this on reflex, but she knew it probably wasn't her).

In the mean time... well, a party meant free food, and far be it for Reimu to turn that down, so maybe she would stick around, weird sparkly air or not.

So she decides to head over to the buffet table. Jeez, there sure was a lot of western food, wasn't there? "Tch. How do westerners even eat most of this stuff anyway?" She grumbled. "Well, I guess it's a good thing I can't get fat."

"Hey, what's this?" A random guest say as she catches sight of Reimu. "There's no need to be so sour on a day like this! You're a friend of the bride's aren't you?"

"Why do people keep assuming things like that?" The miko turned and gave her an annoyed look. "I don't know either of those people and I didn't even ask to be here."

"Well, maybe you should try to enjoy yourself anyway!"

"That's what I'm trying to do." She turned back to the buffet and started to pick out some food that she recognized.

"You don't seem to be trying very hard."

"And you seem to be trying too hard to be nosy." The miko shot back.

The woman huffed and left, muttering something about how rude she was, as if she had much room to talk. Reimu just rolled her eyes and went back to what she was doing. Jeez, these people were obnoxious. She really needed to get out of here.

Once she was done eating.
